7th - 12th Core Group
Middle & High School Options
Our middle and high school groups provide accountability and fellowship for homeschool teens working towards a complete transcript and in preparation for their future endeavors.
Math, English, Science, Worldview/Literature, PE and electives are available, depending on student interest, instructor availability, and transcript planning. Discussion, research, and group activities are used rather than lecture to ensure relevancy and mastery of content. Writing and Math include one-on-one accountability and tutoring in order to master those skills and concepts in looking toward tests and placement for college and ability to communicate through writing and discussion, as well as comfort speaking in a group.
We strive keep things interesting with group activities such as science labs and critical thinking games. Students have a balance of fellowship time and focused study time in their schedule. Input from students is included in planning of semester electives. When parents are involved, we also like to plan Field Trips and Seasonal Parties.
Our homeschool environment provides a relaxed atmosphere and a balance of study, fellowship, independence, and group activities. Students can focus solely on academics, even graduating early, or have time to participate in extracurriculars, volunteering, or have a job.
We have had students progress into a variety of areas upon graduating from LIFT. Some examples are community college, bible college, apprenticeships, job training, and internships. We even have graduates that have come back to teach or provide child care.
