Q:

What ages do you teach?

A:

Ages 8 years through high school graduation.

Grade levels are not used, however, we teach what is typcally grades 3 - 12.

Enrichment group students can be 7 when you register but need to be 8 by December of the school year.

Q:

How would you describe the teaching style?

A:

We teach individually for leveled subjects like math and language arts and combine by age for enrichment and electives.

Lessons include a combination of visual, hands-on lessons and regular practice to cement concepts and memorize facts.

We attempt to keep our environment relaxed and fun with snack breaks and outdoor time strategically scheduled to break up concentration and sitting time.

We encourage critical thinking, sense of community, collaborative projects, and personal progress.

How would you describe the setting?

A:

We have a homeschool family setting.  We meet in a home and use the kitchen, living room, dining room, and backyard for lessons and meals.  We have regular outdoor time at the nearby greenbelt and playground. We also have a cat and a dog that regularly interact with students that enjoy animals.

What subjects are taught?

A:

Core+: Math, Language Arts, History, Geography, Civics, Health/PE.

Enrichment: Elementary and Middle School options are Science, Art, PE/Health, Presentation Skills, and Strategy Games.

Electives: High school options are Science, Logic, Test Prep, ASL, Art, Strategy Games, and Math Lab.

Where are you located?

A:

We meet near the N. Tarrant and Rufe Snow Intersection. As we meet in a private home, we don't provide an exact address online.

Q:

What days do you meet?

A:

We meet Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday..   Your program choice determines which of those days you attend.

Q:

What are your hours?

A:

Core+ Student groups meet Tuesday and Thursday, Elementary meets 9:30 - 2:30 and Middle and High School meets 9:00 - 2:40.

Enrichment Student groups meet on Wednesdays from 9:30 - 2:30.

High School Students meet 9:00 - 2:40 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Q:

Do you provide additional hours for childcare?

A:

We are not able to provide extended before or after school care.  Working families also must have their own back up plan for childcare in case we have to be closed due to illness or emergency.

How long has this group been meeting?

A:

The upcoming school year 2023-2024 will begin our 10th year.

Q:

Are you a co-op?

A:

We have the option of serving in a co-op role as a means of offsetting half of your tuition each semester.

Q:

Is there a supply list?

A:

No, your fees cover curriculum and school supplies for the year. We do ask that families donate one case of snacks each semester.

Q:

What are the costs to participate in the group?

A:

Registration is $250/family (Earlybird is $75 before April 30 / before June is $150)

Annual tuition and fees ranges from about $900 to $3900 for a family with one student.

Each additional student would be $165 - $450, depending on selected program/classes.
